Bellcon was established in 2018 by David Bell to specialise in water and wastewater project management. Since then, the company has grown with purpose, building a trusted reputation in delivering complex infrastructure.
Civil and Structural Engineer Stephen Abercrombie joined as a partner in 2021. By 2024, the team had expanded to 14, including site engineers, project managers, and experts in process engineering, mechanical engineering and construction.
In 2025, Bellcon opened an Auckland office to support a growing portfolio across the North Island, while continuing to serve clients nationwide from its head office in Northland. That same year, Thomas Board joined as Chief Engineer, strengthening the company’s expertise in advanced water and wastewater treatment plant design.
Bellcon’s services cover the entire project lifecycle, including early contractor involvement, design and build, construction monitoring, project management, design management and commissioning management. We are known for our collaborative approach, technical expertise and ability to help future-proof drinking water, and wastewater systems across New Zealand.

Design
Bellcon harnesses the power of Autodesk Plant 3D to streamline the design processes of complex water and wastewater treatment facilities. Our engineers utilise the comprehensive tools and intelligent models to create detailed 3D representations of equipment, piping, and structures, enabling spatial planning, identifying potential clashes, and ensuring seamless integration of various components.
Plan
When facilitating coordination and collaboration among stakeholders in the design and construction phases, Bellcon uses Navisworks for project review and coordination, enabling the integration of multidisciplinary models, allowing for clash detection, visualisation, and coordination across various disciplines.
Build
During the construction phase, Bellcon relies on Autodesk Advance Steel to transform design intent into precise fabrication and erection drawings for structural components. The advanced modeling allows our engineers to generate detailed steel structures efficiently, ensuring total compliance in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
